Powerful, no-fuss phase correction
Phase issues are the bane of any post-production audio engineer’s existence (they cause ulcers, migraines, and more here at Sweetwater). But multi-microphone recordings, and the resultant phase complications they can produce, are par for the course in film work. And oftentimes, the mics are moving around, causing comb filtering and other unwanted artifacts. But now Sound Radix’s Auto-Align Post plug-in is here, and it makes short work of these pesky problems. Auto-Align Post corrects for distances of up to 112 feet or a delay of ±100ms. Performing continuous phase/time correction for moving actors or cameras is no problem, courtesy of this plug-in’s Dynamic mode, and stationary microphones are even easier to fix, thanks to its Static mode. Best of all, everything is automatic — no manual adjustments are required!
