How It Works

The signal passes through the triode amplifier gain stage, imparting analog-style color and harmonic richness. A rectified control signal is simultaneously applied to the grid, creating organic vari-mu compression that responds dynamically to the input.

Every tube characteristic is editable, yet no electronics background is required—changes are audible and intuitive. From plate voltage shaping distortion onset to capacitor size affecting recovery and blocking distortion, each parameter unlocks new tonal behavior.
